The Association for Journalism Education (AJE, UK) has released a special issue of its journal, dedicated to climate journalism education. This edition, Issue 13.2, explores how journalism education worldwide is adapting to the challenges of climate change, integrating interdisciplinary approaches, and fostering climate literacy among future journalists. Guest editors are the co-chairs of the MediaClimate network, Professors Elisabeth Eide (OsloMet, Norway) and Risto Kunelius (University of Helsinki, Finland).
Featuring contributions from researchers and educators across different regions—including Bangladesh, India, Kenya, the Nordic countries, Pakistan, Uganda and the UK—this issue provides valuable insights into the global climate context, curriculum innovations, training experiences, and pedagogical challenges in teaching climate journalism.
